Addition of a two-level glazed aluminium ribbed orthogonal form to replace the tiled roof, the demolition of the existing courtyard annex to create a sunken landscaped courtyard and the renovation of the building’s smaller spaces to establish an open-plan layout.
Originally designed by Parker & Forsyth for the United Tobacco Company (South) Limited (UTC) in 1922, the building originally housed the administration department and was one of several buildings that formed the UTC campus.
