CIDB : LEVEL 9 GB PE

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) is a public entity designed to drive sustainable growth, reform and improvement within South Africa’s construction sector. As part of this initiative, the CIDB also assigns contractors grading levels from 1 to 9 in order to determine the maximum value of work for which they can tender. GVK-Siya Zama is one of only a handful of privately-owned construction companies to be graded at a Level 9 GB PE (General Building, Potentially Emerging), affirming our status as an innovative, forward-thinking company.

The ultimate aim of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) is to create opportunities for the majority of citizens to participate meaningfully in the mainstream economy. Thanks to our commitment to empowerment and change, GVK-Siya Zama is currently rated at level one.

EDUCATION FUND

The GVK-Siya Zama Education Fund makes resources available for the children of our employees through the administration of this dedicated fund. The Fund enables beneficiaries to study and equip themselves for a fulfilled life of work and independence. In addition to covering school fees, the fund supports a range of educational needs tailor-made to the needs of beneficiaries.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Our enterprise development initiatives are geared to assist suppliers and small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) with management up skilling, systems and process mentoring, as well as early payment where needed to ease cash flow constraints.
